Gabriele Berg’s group focuses on microbiome research and management. The group uses multi-omics approaches together with advanced microscopy and cultivation techniques to understand microbiome functioning. In addition, they translate the results into new biotechnological concepts for our environment as well as for health issues. In 2018 and 2019, Gabriele Berg belongs to the most influential researchers world-wide (top 1, Clarivate Analytics).   

Gabriele Berg is heading the institute of Environmental Biotechnology at Graz University of Technology in Austria. Together with Wisnu Wicaksono, an experienced Post-Doc researcher, she is a member of the HEDIMED consortium.
