Assoc. prof. Jaroslav Havlik is the representative of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, Department of Food Science. The group has a well-established laboratory for analytical chemistry and metabolomics and currently one of the main interests is the nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) analysis of human biofluids in clinical research. 

The role of the group in Hedimed will be to investigate the relationship between health and small molecules produced by bacteria in human digestive tract, set up and calibration of a novel wearable tool for the analysis of environmental volatiles and coordinate metabolomics analyses within the project.
