The HEDIMED Mission
The mission of HEDIMED is to find out prevention for immune-mediated diseases, including type 1 diabetes, celiac disease, asthma and allergies. This will be accomplished by identifying the environmental exposures contributing to the development of these diseases.

Research
HEDIMED brings together data and biological samples from 17 human cohorts. These cohorts come from high and low-risk countries of immune-mediated diseases. The project consists of 13 work packages that will generate new knowledge about the causes of these diseases by exploring the role of the environment, using the latest technologies developed by the 22 partners.
HEDIMED project complies with international conventions and codes of conduct in its research activities, and EU regulations, including GDPR, will be followed in the consortium.
